What is Lesson Squad?

As a musician and educator, you recommend gear to students, friends and fans. Lesson Squad's platform lets you more elegantly make those recommendations and get paid when people buy. Moreover, we provide the tools you need to have an online presence, get new students, and grow your business.

How does it work?

Every Lesson Squad educator gets their own personal site. Many educators use Lesson Squad as the main site for their online presence.

Your site showcases the instruments & accessories you typically recommend to students, friends and fans. When someone buys, you keep 5%.

It also gives students a way to send you a message so you can grow you teaching business.

Here is just one example of a musician using Lesson Squad.

Do I need to know how to build websites to use Lesson Squad?

No. Lesson Squad can be used by any musician or music educator. We take care of everything technical or design related for you.

How do I setup my site for the first time?

Once your application has been accepted, you can use this setup tool to get up and running. All you need is a short bio, profile pic, and ideas on what products you'd like to recommend.

Where can I add or remove products from my site?

If you'd like to add/remove products or otherwise edit your site, simply email us at: info@lessonsquad.com

How much does Lesson Squad cost?

Lesson Squad is free for musicians and music educators. We've partnered with retailers and manufacturers so you don't have to pay.

When do I get paid?

When any product is sold on your site, you receive an email letting you know within 7 days. You then receive a check for 5% within 60 days or earlier.

How can I offer lessons through Lesson Squad? Can they be online?

Your site contains a "Book Now" button that allows potential new students to send you a message. Once you receive the message, you can work out an arrangement with the student directly. If you'd like to offer online lessons, we suggest you use any common video-call platform such as FaceTime, Skype, or Google Hangouts. You may also wish to create a Venmo account to accept digital payments for these lessons.

How do I get more visibility for my site?

Think of Lesson Squad as your own personal site with advanced capabilities for musicians and educators. We are happy to share many of the techniques that have helped our top educators get the most visibility.
